Context Terms of Service

Last updated: April 27, 2026

These Terms of Service govern use of Context, a desktop application provided by Ritech International AG ("Ritech").

Use of Context

Context is provided to help users capture, organize, back up, and restore user-owned app data. Users are responsible for using Context lawfully and only with data they have the right to process.

Google Drive backup and sync

If a user connects Google Drive, Context stores app-specific backup files in the user's own Google Drive application data folder. Users are responsible for maintaining access to their Google account and managing their own backups.

Context does not access the user's visible Google Drive files for this backup feature.

AI features

Context lets users connect to third-party AI providers, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or a local Ollama instance, for chat, transcription, image generation, and similar features. When the user invokes an AI feature, included context items or app content is sent directly from the user's device to the chosen provider using the user's own API key. Each AI provider's handling of that data is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Users must not use Context to violate laws, infringe rights, compromise systems, or store unlawful or unauthorized content.

Availability

Context may change over time. Ritech does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any feature, including Google Drive backup and sync or AI features.

Disclaimer

Context is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ritech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of Context.

Changes

Ritech may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
